Our 4th of July this year was packed full of activites. Between going to the Centerville parade, and spending the day in Tooele on Saturday. Watching fireworks at a neighbors house Sunday night and then going to Logan Saturday morning, and then going to the Layton fireworks Monday night, we are tired!!
It was fun though, we were able to fit in both families and see alot of Fireworks. Monday I was able to see my brother for the first time since he came home from California, and even my cousin from New York stopped in.
It was fun to watch Abby, she loved the fireworks, she would get so excited to see them, and yell yea!!
Ella did not like the noise and had a really hard time. She ended up wearing earplugs and then things were better.
Kendon is an old pro and already wants to light his own fireworks, which is not happening any time soon.
As I reflect on our family and the time we spent togethor, I am just grateful to those men and women who are missing the time with their family to keep us and others safe.
As we were driving around Monday we heard the song God Bless the USA on the radio, and it kind of choked me up when I heard my little boy singing this beautiful song strong and loud. He might not have got all the words, but he knew the most important parts.
I am proud to be an American, and am proud that my children will be raised in a free country, and no matter what goes on in politics or anywhere else in this world, I know that I wouldn't rather be anywhere else.
